Hiking Sticks and Trekking Poles

Somerwood's new range of hiking sticks and trekking poles are manufactured to meet the requirements of both the serious walker and the leisure rambler.

Each hiking stick or trekking pole features a unique Welsh Dragon design - to appeal to
  • Welsh hikers,
  • anyone who is passionate about hiking - especially in Wales, and
  • all serious walkers and ramblers who want a distinctive hiking stick.


    • A special feature of all the Somerwood hiking sticks is a facility that allows the walker to easily adjust the height of the pole - to the nearest millimetre. This is made possible by the screw adjustment mechanism. It means the walker can adjust the height of each hiking stick or trekking pole from 68cm to 140cm.

    Somerwood High-Support Rollator

    Somerwood are please to announce the addition of this brand new rollator to our range of products.

    The Somerwood High-Support Rollator is designed for those undergoing therapy or rehabilitation who cannot support their weight on their legs or feet
    It is a rollator suitable for people with arthritis and those who are recovering from:
  • injuries or weaknesses in their legs or pelvic fractures
  • other operations or conditions, including neurological problems, that have limited the amount of support provided by the lower part of the body.

    Somerwood Walking Aids are very pleased to be able to offer a shooting stick in it's range of walking canes. Many customers have asked us if we can provide these and we are they they will be very popular. It is always super to be able to take a rest when needed.

    These shooting sticks are fully adjustable - so you can ensure the cane is just right for you.

    Handcrafted, carved walking sticks

    We are very proud to be able to offer this exclusive range of hand-crafted carved walking canes. They are a real delight. Each one is hand made by our craftsman using traditional techniques and carved from carefully selected Cornelian Cherry Wood. This wood is especially suitable for carved walking canes as it is strong and also enables detail to be built into each cane. The craftsman takes great care and delight in making each cane unique and very special. Every carved walking cane is discretely signed and dated by the craftsman and this adds significantly to its uniqueness and appeal to walking cane enthusiasts.
